This 7-day classic camping safari gives you a full experience of Tanzania’s top national parks. Starting in Tarangire with its huge elephant herds, followed by the lush Lake Manyara, you’ll then spend time in the wildlife-filled plains of Serengeti, and finally visit the famous Ngorongoro Crater. You’ll sleep in tents at public campsites and travel with a friendly local guide and a cook who prepares your meals along the way.

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Start your safari with a drive to Tarangire National Park. The park is known for elephants, baobab trees, and many other animals. After a game drive and picnic lunch, head to your campsite.

Day 2: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara. Explore this park known for birds, hippos, monkeys, and tree-climbing lions. Enjoy lunch in the park before heading to the campsite.

Day 3: Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park
Today, travel through the Ngorongoro highlands to Serengeti National Park. Enjoy game viewing along the way. Once inside Serengeti, continue searching for wildlife.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti
Spend the full day exploring the vast Serengeti. Look for lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and more. You can do both morning and afternoon game drives.

Day 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Start with a morning game drive, then after breakfast, head back toward Ngorongoro. You may spot more wildlife on the way.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu
After early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. This area is rich with animals, including rhinos, lions, and hippos. After a picnic lunch, drive to a nearby town for your last night.

Day 7: Karatu – Arusha
After breakfast, return to Arusha. Arrive in the afternoon.
Drop-off at your hotel or airport.
