This 5-day birding safari covers three bird-rich parks in northern Tanzania. Starting with Arusha National Park’s forest trails and lakes, then heading to Tarangire’s dry bushland and wetlands, and finishing at Lake Manyara’s mix of forest and water habitats. Expect to see everything from colorful sunbirds to large raptors, ground hornbills, and water birds. This safari is designed for birders who want to enjoy good sightings without rushing, while still appreciating the natural beauty and wildlife of each park.

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Bird Walk in Arusha National Park
Meet your guide and transfer to Arusha National Park. Spend the day birdwatching around Momella Lakes and forest paths. Look out for Hartlaub’s turaco, narina trogon, and waterfowl like Egyptian geese and herons.
Overnight in Arusha.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Drive to Tarangire after breakfast. Enjoy birding in the dry savannah and near the Tarangire River. You’ll likely see yellow-collared lovebirds, drongos, hornbills, and eagles. Full-day birding with packed lunch.

Day 3: Full Day in Tarangire
A full day to explore different bird habitats in the park. Watch flocks of queleas, rollers, and bee-eaters. With fewer crowds, the park offers peaceful birding with the chance to also see elephants, giraffes, and buffalo.

Day 4: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara. Spend the afternoon birding along the lake and in the forest. Expect sightings of flamingos, crowned eagles, kingfishers, and turacos.

Day 5: Lake Manyara – Arusha
After a short morning bird walk near the lake, drive back to Arusha. Your guide can drop you off at your hotel or airport depending on your travel plans.
